Introductory poem by Fausta Joly
“Is your heart open?
Are you ready to receive?
Given out
Now taking in
Love in a liquid form.
How fast do you want the river to flow?
Do you need to put up a dam?
As we traverse from one to 10
1 to 10
1 to ten
I to x
You can find the waterfall of pure
Fulfilment
If you work with temperance and
Tune into alignment.”
Ace of Vessels
A love letter from the universe is drifting in on the tide. Sweet words remind you that you are still invited to reconnect with the world around you, however distant you may feel. You are made of it after all! This vessel is a bottle. Fill it up, pour it out and be a channel of energy and love. You may feel like just a drop in the ocean. Take a deep throat-chakra-gulp and become part of the deep blue.

Two glasses are raised to recognise a new partnership, romance or friendship! If you are feeling divided, it may be a good time to strengthen your one-to-one connections. Make some time with a friend to eat, drink and share quality time together. Quality communion with one person is better than 100 casual acquaintances. The uniting of two minds or hearts is precious and worth marking with a celebration of gratitude.
3 of Vessels
Colours dance on a paint palette, contrasting and combining in beautiful ways. If you select them wisely, you can create a riot of lively, stimulating conversation. You may be joining a collaborative team, or been introduced to a like-minded community... or perhaps a trio of magical friends! To nurture a flourishing gathering, champion each individual’s unique offering and avoid diluting each others colour to a greyish brown.
4 of Vessels
After an initial burst of energy and passion you may be feeling emotionally exhausted. This exhaustion may be personal within yourself, or with a friend or partner. It's too easy to become complacent and natural to lose the good feeling. It’s time to reactivate, water and nurture. This may require a brand new vessel to bring new life, creativity, understanding, nostalgia or passion. Invest thoughtfulness to diagnose a remedy and time to pick up speed.
5 of Vessels
We know better than to put all our eggs in one basket. But that doesn’t stop the pain of loss distracting us from what remains. Looking back with regret will not change anything. Start counting what you have right now. Centre yourself with the present to see future potential. If you feel like you wasted your gold on someone, perhaps it's also time to weave a stronger vessel to carry and protect it.
6 of Vessels
Your personal history and childhood memories are rich with stories and signals that form inner parts of yourself. Opening the memory box can be entertaining, emotive, painful and insightful. If you are feeling triggered, seek healthy sources of distraction or comfort. Or perhaps you're ready to make a little space to allow the past to resurface for a conversation. Prepare yourself, and treat your past self or inner child with kindness and reassurance.
7 of Vessels
You’re spoilt for choice! Your dreams may need prioritisation, or maybe you are getting lost in other people’s lives to avoid dealing with your own feelings. Close your eyes and ponder on your own internal universe... then visualise what could be found beyond your own self. Dream fearlessly, act wisely but approach with caution.
8 of Vessels
The Japanese art of Kintsugi embraces the beauty of an object’s cracks. 8 vessels is about disappointment. Things don't always live up to expectation. Don't gaze too long at the missing part... shift your eyes to the full picture. Dismissing this vessel for its imperfection denies its charm and history. There’s often more to a person than meets the eye, and a hidden gem in the broken pot.
9 of Vessels
This bountiful feast is held by a thriving support network of friends and family. Each individual brought something to share, so every member of the flock is provided for. Gather others around you, enjoy their support and flex yourself in gratitude to support them when their time of need comes. This is not duty or charity. This is community, comradery and chosen family.
10 of Vessels
With its sprawling rainbow, 10 vessels is a signal that hope, good news, gifts and collective prosperity is on the horizon. Hope is hard to come by sometimes. Look ahead to milestones and events worth celebrating and gift hope to others. If you’re in a place of hopelessness, look outward to the hope of others and reconnect with your friends, family or community.
Apprentice of Vessels
This Apprentice is both the potter and the clay. They are heart-driven, quick to pick up tangible creative and interpersonal skills. Like the clay, you could be soft and malleable - willing to love and be moved with compassion for others. This raw, romantic and fierce vulnerability is a firm foundation for the mastery of your own heart and how you connect with others. Don't lose it. When hurt, don't let it plant bitterness within you. Your heart is more powerful than you think.
Champion of Vessels
The Champion of Vessels lets the heart lead as they journey towards their pursuits. But this is also a card of hesitation. The heart knows what it wants, but it is sensitive to the challenges it will have to face to find it. This Champion has paused at a river dividing them and the prize. Are you hesitating, or perhaps taking a healthy step back to prepare. Test the waters and gently ease your heart into the cool stream. Protect it’s vulnerability and foster bravery.
Keeper of Vessels
The Keeper of Vessels is experienced in matters of the heart. They perpetually let love and compassion flow with skill, caring for others with insight and well placed words. Check in with your heart... is it receiving, holding and releasing love effectively in your encounters with others? Nurture your own heart to be a strong gatekeeper and giver, so that you can nurture others in turn.
Crown of Vessels
The Crown of Vessels is emotionally mature. A master of communication and creation. Deftly aligning their heart with their passion and sharp mind, they keep a steady balance that others can rely upon. With each encounter ( joyful or painful), handle yourself and others with diplomacy - this is the art of spinning raw feelings into an act of creation. Always moving forwards, and gently encouraging others to follow.
